I guarantee that each one is 100% Zisha clay with no additives. Zisha is ideal for crafting teapots because it contains no lead and so does not require a glaze to make them safe to use. Zisha clay is mined from a single mountain in Yixing County in China's Jiangsu Province. Zisha clay is porous and will absorb the tea's oils and season. After prolonged use, the oils absorbed in the teapot will actually add to the flavor of the tea, producing even finer tea than would be possible with a porcelain teapot or gaiwan.
