Porcelain Imperial Floral Teacup

This magnificent Porcelain Teacup was hand crafted in Jingdezhen, China's premiere porcelain manufacturing center. It is a copy of the tea cups made during the reign of Emperor Qianlong(1711-1799) during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). This cup features three colors of glaze. The red floral design is hand shadowed using tiny dots, each hand applied with a Chinese paint brush. It is a painstaking process, but the results are stunning. On the bottom of the cup is cobalt blue glaze which states this cup comes from the reign of Emperor Qianlong. Of course it is not an original Emperor Qianlong era cup, although many people try to sell it as such. This cup would be an incredible addition to any tea service.
